Visiting Boston

My middle kid has moved to Boston. I’m not thrilled about that development, but I do love Boston … and I do love Cooper. So, this past week I went for a visit. And it did not disappoint.

First on our list of things to do was the 97th Annual Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill Tour, hosted by the Beacon Hill Garden Club. The self-guided tour took us through three ribbon gardens (viewed from the street), including Nichols House Museum and The Whitney Hotel, and ten hidden gardens of varying size and design that are attached to private residences in the Beacon Hill area.

We enjoyed afternoon tea at The Boston Public Library.

We caught a Red Sox game.

We took lots of walks through Boston Common, often stopping to admire the ducks – both the real and the art.

And finally, we spent a lovely afternoon at The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
